Travels with my Scooter – Seaworld

Photo taken from disabled parking spot

SeaWorld is a lot of fun especially if you have young kids. We arrived early and entered by a side entry drop off for people with disabilities. Entry from the carpark is pretty steep.

Side entry drop off for people with disabilities

The CompanionCard is recognised at SeaWorld. I had mine with me. It gives gratis entry to your carer. There were a few other people in wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

The best ride

What was the best ride? Apparently after a big day out at SeaWorld the best ride was the ride home. My grandchildren are crashed out exhausted in the back seat as I ask them.

They went on a half dozen rides each, watched a waterskiing show, and sussed out the underground aquarium.

Watch out children about

From a mobility scooter perspective my advice is to scoot slowly as young kids kept running in front of me. It’s so strange. They would stand and stare at me on the scooter and think ‘I might just run in front of that’.

Underground Aquarium

At the underwater aquarium there were sharks, sting rays and heaps of different fish. I think this was the most accessible out of all the things I visited.

When we came in they were cleaning the glass in their wetsuits so the fish were all crowding around looking for freebies.

A great day out. Bring your sunscreen and hang in the shade when you can. Even if you can’t get on the rides you can enjoy this space. There is plenty to see.
