Travels with my scooter – Art silo’s at Dunedoo

What a name right. Yes that’s how you pronounce it Dun-ee-do. At the van park they even have this sculpture tribute. But get your head out of the gutter as this word is actually derived from the indigenous name for swan in these parts.

The Dunedoo Van Park is on the highway so reasonably priced and close to our next silo’s. A few trucks but I slept ok. It’s first come first served for the powered sites so keep that in mind. We rocked up at around 2.30.

The silos this time are in the town centre right next to the train line. They are 3 sides but I missed one. At the end of the post I’ve put the silo art link in if you want any further info. Plenty of room to park your RV if you are just driving through.

Have kids. There’s also a spottobook that they do for all the silo art. https://www.spottobooks.com.au/shop/p/silo-art-guide-big-things

There’s also more murals near the sales yards a few blocks over. We just came across this while we were cruising around.

My next surprise was dinner that night at the local pub. I ordered what I thought would be your bog standard chicken snitty. The topping was amazing with bacon rashers and mushrooms and a Bernalise sauce smeared on top. Seriously good.
