Gulgong is an old gold mining town. The streets still embrace this heritage.

It’s an RV friendly town if you go by a signpost but we found the streets a little tight. Herbert Street was a good fit. We parked the RV and unpacked the scooter.

It was a bit empty but it is mid week. There were some classic pubs on corners like this Ten Dollar Town Hotel.

After looking at cute places and spaces we hunted out a place to grab a coffee. Bonito had opened a few months earlier on Herbert Street. A great fit out with a Mexican theme and the essential disabled toilet…yes! Could have parked the RV right outside it.

Gulgong such a lovely little town to visit. It’s a bit funky and if you walk through the old facades you are often greeted with funky and updated interiors.
Next stop Mudgee.
This story from October 2024 is one of my Mudgee series that form part of this site. This was the first time travelling in an RV to go to Mudgee wine country via a couple of art silos. My goal, to share adventures as I travel on my scooter.
