I value the mundane. You get out and about to do your shopping and are reminded that the world keeps moving. There’s the dog poop on the pavement that everyone seems to have walked in. There’s the Lime bike that someone has put in the most inconvenient spot. There’s the person with headphones not looking up from their phone walking straight toward me. 

The best thing is;

• Avoid the poop (if it gets stuck in my tread it’ll be a nightmare to get out). 
• Squeeze past the Lime bike cursing along the way. 
• Stop the scooter for the bloke with the headphones not paying attention so I don’t run into him

Oh phew I better grab a beer! 

Today was overcast with the odd spit of rain. On the way back we sat over a beer and watched the world go by. It’s a pretty street here with plane trees lining the Avenue. I’m wearing the T-shirt I bought in Italy. As usual my fly away hair is all over the place. 

The big bus tours go down this street full of tourists but with overcast skies it’s not that full today. It’s one of those double deckers that they have the roof chopped off. We sit and wave as they go by. I often go to the shop to do my grocery shopping. I don’t buy much because I fit it on the base of my scooter. I can do two bags max on a good day. I’ll keep the other on my basket and make sure the bag has handles. I can wrap it to the scooter handles to stop it falling off. Not ideal but I think I have it pegged these days.
