I’ve always wondered why people that need to use a mobility scooter end up with big mobility scooters that can barely fit through their front door. For me a portable mobility scooter is the only way to go.
In a recent post I’m was taking my scooter onto the mobi-mat on the beach. Well not all the way. I had to do a 3 point turn to make my way back up. I’m wondering how any other scooter could do it. It’s a squeeze even for me. Once you hit soft sand it’s all over red rover. It’s not like I can just get up and walk away. I’m stuck.
Doing a 3 point turn on a mobi-mat
With all the adventures I have had with my scooter over the last 4 years there are no regrets in my choice.
So when people pull me aside on the street and ask me about my scooter I respond with passion. I will always champion a portable mobility scooter.
Portable is the way to go. They have come such a long way. My mobility scooter gets used time after time after time. It does the hills with its twin motors and can manoeuvre in tight spaces. Get on a train or light rail, yes. I love it.
