Security

You can leave your portable mobility scooter in your apartment. Even if they fit in your lift, some mobility scooters won’t fit in your apartment. You end up leaving your mobility scooter in a common hallway or carpark. That ain’t secure.

Portable mobility scooter batteries can be taken off. If you have a mobility scooter where the battery doesn’t come off then it’s down in the carpark charging. That ain’t secure either.

Better for public transport

There’s hardly any space at the best of times when there’s a crowd on public transport but the government will constantly bang on about how they want all of us to use it. Therefore a portable mobility scooter is where it’s at. They are smaller. I’m hopping on and off trains, light rail, and metro lines. It’s fantastic and opens up the world to you. You can even get on a ferry with a portable mobility scooter. Going portable makes things meaningful.

Portable gives you a plan B

Portable gives you a plan B. You can drive anywhere you like with a portable mobility scooter if you have someone to help get it in and out. Put it in the boot. That’s how we do it. Not everywhere is close to home. Not everywhere has public transport.

Fits in small lifts

In my travels abroad with a portable mobility scooter there is one very important point. Lifts are small, very small. My scooter has never let me down. Sure you may have to take the basket off but hey you are in. What adventures!

Take it on a plane

That’s what we do. Whether interstate or overseas, if you know how to pack up your scooter there are adventures to be had far and wide.

Throw out any idea of a stock standard mobility scooter. Go portable. See a show locally, or see the world. Lets celebrate these fantastic assistive devices. Portable mobility scooters are where it’s at.
